When the vet prescribe a medicine in the form op a pill, it can be quite difficult to give it to your cat in a way he won’t spit it out and run behind the sofa. Follow the steps below on how to give your cat a pill the easiest and quickest way:
Step 1: Prepare the unwrapped pill close to you, and a towel.
Step 2: Wrap your cat’s legs and body, up until the had, with the towel, to prevent your cat from scratching, and make sure to stand behind her to stop her from leaning backwards.
Step 3: Tilt your cat’s had back with one hand and open her mouth with the other hand. Hold the pill between your thumb and the fourth finger.
Step 4: Press down on front of lower jaw with your other fingers and put the pill on your cat’s tongue as far as you can possibly get, then close her mouth and hold the jaw closed until she swallows.
