The most important thing is to buy a litter box for your cat. It is hard at the beginning to teach a kitten to do his body waste inside the litter box, that’s why you need to put him in the box on the first day at home.
It is normally a simple thing to do. When we educated our cats the process didn’t take to long. Every day we put him/her in the box for a few minutes to see the reaction.
We noticed our cats do their waste on the flour and try to cover it, and after a few days they started to go alone and do their waste in the box!!!
Some things I’ve learned from experience it’s very important to pay attention to…
* Cats like their litter box clean
It’s very important to clean it daily. If you have more then one cat, clean it even twice a day, otherwise your cats won’t do their waste in the box.
* Don’t buy a new box
Just because you think the old one isn’t pretty enough, doesn’t mean your cat thinks so… Cats don’t like changes and you can find out your cat won’t want to get inside the new box.
* Don’t change the location
It’s also important not to change the waste box’s location every now and then. Again, I assure you your cat won’t be so happy about it…
* Advise for big houses
If your house is very big, conceder buying more then one litter box and place them in some corners of the house. If you have more then one flour, you can put one in each flour.
